The biggest fight of 2020, in my opinion, and it’s not even close was Vasyl Lomachenko vs Teofimo Lopez. Teo taught us that he is special and Loma showed that he isn’t unbeatable at Lightweight.

As for GGG’s fight, he is a massive favorite. The only question or bettable lines are the round total or attempting to pick the exact round Gennady gets the finish.

I like option #2 and I believe that will be the game plan heading into this fight. GGG is a bad man and his fights average around 5 rounds and what do you know, exactly where the betting line is.
Turns out, these bookies aren’t dumb. This isn’t a lock of the night type of pick but it isn’t a complete shot in the dark either. GGG is getting older by the day like the rest of us and I don’t think he wants to take a lot of damage in there or potentially run out of gas against the younger man.
They will be fighting in a city dear to my heart, San Antonio, Texas. I had basic training and tech school there and for some odd reason even after 25 trips across the country, I haven’t been back. In Conclusion
It has been a pretty decent year for boxing considering everything that stood in its way.
Getting Tyson and RJJ back in there was pretty special and the coolest part was nobody died. I think there were some fans tuning in for blood and to “find out who was better” but neither was ever really going to happen.
Roy was there for his paycheck and that is cool. He knew he wasn’t the A-side but he went with it. Roy’s career was somewhat overshadowed by Mike’s but he didn’t seem to be holding onto any of that still.
As for this fight we talked about today, the Pole is a good boxer but I don’t think GG wants to be in there for very long. We are a week from Christmas and the last thing he and his camp needs is an injury to deal with going into a new year.
I think everyone and everybody is ready for a new year. Now, do I think 2021 will be any different than 2020? Honestly?
I should probably keep that to myself and stick to boxing. GGG finishes the Pole within the first 5.5 rounds for a (-110) payout!
It's finally time for Gennadiy Golovkin to defend his middleweight titles.
GGG was initially scheduled to face mandatory challenger Kamil Szeremeta back in February and then April, but the COVID-19 pandemic put that bout on hold. Both Golovkin and Szeremeta haven't entered the ring for an official fight since October 2019 when Golovkin defeated Sergiy Derevyanchenko to win the IBF and IBO middleweight belts and Szeremeta scored a victory over Oscar Cortes on that same card.
Szeremeta currently holds a perfect 21-0 record, though he only has five knockouts in his career and hasn't encountered a fighter of Golovkin's caliber. GGG has racked up 40 wins and 35 KOs with the only blemishes on his resume coming against Canelo Alvarez (draw in 2017, loss in 2018). If Golovkin beats Szeremeta and Alvarez takes down Callum Smith, there will definitely be talk of a trilogy fight.
